Talons Cove Golf Course is a type of golf course called a links layout. It is located on the northwest coast of Utah Lake. Gene Bates is well-known for creating golf courses with long par 3s, and Talons Cove is no different. The course has par 3 holes that measure 220, 225, and 255 yards. Despite the length, the greens are spacious enough to accommodate long shots.

Gene Bates challenges skilled golfers to reconsider playing from the farthest tees: They are almost 700 yards longer than the next set, measuring 7,100 yards. However, on the bright side, the high altitude in this area will help you achieve slightly greater distance.
The final four contestants face a variety of challenges as they make their way back to the clubhouse. The longest par five on the property is hole number 15, which measures 590 yards. Hole number 16 is a par four that can be driven by strong hitters. It is only 315 yards from the back tees. Hole number 17 is a challenging par three. It is 225 yards long and has a large bunker on the right side, as well as being next to the waterfront. Finally, hole number 18 is a long par four that takes you back to the green, which is also used for hole number 9.
